Artist, Aleksander Cherepov    Aleksander Cherepov
Originally trained in his Russian homeland at the College of Printing in Moscow, 1988-1992, and Soyztelefilm, 1989-90, Aleksander came to the United States in March 1998 to work as an illustrator.

Always a painter, he began developing a distinctive style in landscapes painted in oil on canvas. Known for vivid, yet natural, colors and appealing textures delivered with knife and brush, Cherepov's work has a liquid, impressionistic quality.

Using a dramatic balance of light and shadow and an intuitive and unique blend of paints, Cherepov's paintings reflect a versatility unusual in the art world.
