Ken Haun
A Knoxville native, Ken did his Army duty and graduated from the University of Tennessee before spending most of his adult working life in San Francisco. He took up photography as a hobby a number of years ago, and has devoted more time to it since his retirement and return to East Tennessee.
Ken's preferred subjects are landscapes and scenics, cityscapes, buildings and structures of architectural and/or historical interest, and "whatever catches my eye, " he says. "I scan the slides into my computer and make photographic prints using pigmented inks and acid-free paper for enhanced permanence." He has exhibited photographs in the annual Dogwood Arts Photography Competition in Knoxville, winning several ribbons.
Ken and his camera have traveled in the United States, Canada, Ireland and Northern Ireland. He is looking forward to future trips to Scotland and England.
Visit Village Fine Art Gallery to see a notebook of Ken's special images, as well as several framed selections.
