Chaos Glass & Metatworks represents the vision of Scott Hodes. It is both a studio and an environment of inspiration. It provides the setting for the most basic of natural elements and forces to combine and produce artistic beauty.
The concept behind Chaos Glass originated in the early 1990's during Scott's undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin. The coursework that led to his B.S. in Art, with an emphasis on glass and ||g| neon, solidified his appreciation and understanding of the elements. Scott then went on to attend Tennessee Technological University's Appalachian Center for Crafts in Smithville. Tennessee. There, he studied with glass master Curtis Brock and blacksmithing expert Robert Coogan. Scott then went on to work on his M.F.A at Kent State University.
In 1996, Scott established Chaos Glass & Metalworks on a 50-acre farm in Bon Aqua, Tennessee. Set in the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee, the hot glass and metalworking studio is a true artistic oasis.
(Scott lives with his wife and 2 children near Nashville, Tennessee. Village Fine Art Gallery in Knoxville is privileged to represent Scott's beautiful vessels)
