Terry Chandler
Terry grew up on a farm near Knoxville with the beauty of the lakes and mountains all around him. It was in this environment that he developed his love and appreciation for nature. Terry and his wife, Jan, enjoy hiking, canoeing, and photography. He combines these with his ability to sketch and paint on location, to capture his experiences in acrylic on canvas. With an interest in art since early childhood, Terry has been painting professionally for nearly 30 years. He has had numerous one-man shows, and his work hangs in corporate and private collections throughout the United States, Canada, and in several foreign countries.
Terry comments: "I paint to show the beauty and serenity of nature. The land around us has many moods, from the power and energy of a summer thunderstorm, to the mirror-perfect reflection of a quiet pool at sunset. These are the faces of nature that refresh and inspire me."
In addition to his area landscapes, Terry has visited the western United States, areas along the Gulf and Atlantic Coasts, and the U.S./Canada territory around the Great Lakes.
